Bairnsdale Aquatic and Recreation Centre (BARC) - Friday nights 5.30 -7.30 pm (all year round)
Commenced on Friday 14th Jan, we are playing there every week there unless otherwise noted.
NO PLAY on Good Friday which is Friday 15th April.
$4.70 entry fee is payable directly to BARC.
Term 4
FRIDAYS ONLY @ BARC, 5.30-7.30pm
Friday 14th October - NO PLAY, BARC unavailable
We will finish for 2022 on Friday 16th December.

2022 Membership fees - due by end of April 2022 please
$130 Adult
$100 Secondary School student
$80 Grade 6 (age 11/12 years) primary school student
Players who were fully paid members in 2021 will all pay $50 (reflects the very interrupted year of play in 2021)
Casual non members: weekly fee of $5 at Nagle, $2.50 at BARC
Your membership fee is a contribution towards our essential running costs (shuttlecocks, hall hire, insurance/Badminton Victoria affiliation, IT and other incidentals e.g. Covid cleaning materials).
Cash and cheques accepted (no EFTPOS).
If you choose to do a bank transfer, please email your confirmation of transaction to shuttlecock3875@gmail.com or provide a hard copy to Debbie our treasurer so she can issue your receipt of payment.

Due to the terms of our insurance policy any casual player/prospective member may play for up to 4 weeks from date of their first attendance. After that point they must become a registered member and pay their membership fee . We cannot allow uninsured players to participate due to the conditions detailed in our hall hire agreement with Nagle and the terms of our insurance policy.
Covid
- We abide by current Victorian and Australian Government recommendations.
- DO NOT ATTEND IF YOU HAVE COVID or COVID-LIKE SYMPTOMS even if you have tested Covid negative. If you are symptomatic, you should remain at home.
- Remember to sanitise your hands.
- No handshakes, racquet taps instead at the end of games please
- Remember to take your turn to help with putting away equipment, cleaning and tidying up at the end of the night at Nagle.
FAQs
The same membership fees will apply whether you play Wednesdays, Fridays or both as our overheads are the same.
We have heavily subsidized the last year and BARC Fridays to encourage players back to badminton using Covid grants and our using up our stockpile of shuttlecocks bought for the start of the 2020 season.
Will there be a competition?
This depends on player interest, numbers and their commitment to attend regularly. We can run a competition either accruing individual or team points or both if there is enough interest.
